Mycelium is a multiplayer survival game built in the browser. You start with nothing and survive in a procedurally generated wilderness - gather resources, craft tools and clothing, grow food, build shelters, and interact with other players.

Registration

Put any login and any password, it would create a new account. Passwords are encrypted up to industry standards, but obviously, it's a dev server for an in-dev project, be sane, use a different password that everywhere else.

Username and character name are different, you can change your name at any time with `/visual` (for full character creation) or `/name [name]`.

Controls

  • Left-click to move and commit quick-action (most common action based on held tool)
  • Middle-click to rotate the camera (rotate it all the way up to invert the controls if needed)
  • Right-click to open context menu to see all actions

What's in it now:

  • Procedural world with biomes
  • Player character creator
  • Inventory and equipment system
  • Crafting for tools, clothing, furniture, pottery
  • Farming and foraging
  • Animals wandering around the world that you can hunt
  • Building system
  • Day/night cycle
  • Thirst, hunger (with "fantasy" nutrition system), health, and stamina
  • Multiplayer with real-time chunk loading

What's still in development:

  • Combat is currently being reworked
  • Many systems are early (quality, food spoilage, tanning, workbenches, potter's wheel, cooking, fire lighting, and more)
  • The world generation, buildings, and interactions are functional but still getting polished
  • There are bugs, and not everything works the way it will eventually

Socials:

This is a work in progress, in a rather early state. If you find it interesting, great. If you break something, that's also expected.
